Laguna Christian Center

Laguna Christian Center started in a local school. Within a short time, dynamic growth required that a permanent facility be acquired. Pastor Gutierrez was faced with a common problem, a lack of historic performance that would allow a lease or purchase of new facilities. Clifford Roberts Group worked with the pastor and a major developer to create an acceptable credit enhancement and the church was able to lease with an option to purchase.

The next challenge was to create a facility that would house ministry to more than 800 potential attendees in an 11,500 sq ft building. Bill Peterson created an interior plan that provided for worship, Christian education, and administration within the available space. The church has now (after less than a year in the facility) nearly doubled in weekly attendance. The congregation has exercised their option and owns the building. Laguna Christian Center has gone from temporary facilities to a well located and suitable building that houses a multi faceted community based ministry. They have more than a million dollars in equity and Pastor Gutierrez is faced with the need to begin the process of developing a new strategic plan. Good planning and great leadership have brought excitement and growth to Laguna Christian Center.
