Strategic Planning
Creation of both a short term and long term strategic plan is essential to a successful development process.
Strategic planning will consider:
- current and future church ministries and programs
- historic attendance and income of the church
- demographics and other community impacts upon ministry
- future plans and priorities
- projection of future income and attendance
- a thorough review of current assets of the church
- review of available options for facilities growth or improved capacity
- preliminary review of current ability to acquire financing for anticipated facilities
- civil regulatory review as relates to any and all facilities planning.
The goal of this plan is to comprehensively create an executable map for moving forward in all dimensions of church life. This plan, properly executed, will create an atmosphere of stewardship and accountability which are essential to effective ministry.
Preliminary Design
Preliminary design precedes full architectural engagement. Churches often engage architects to create a full set of building plans when they should be defining their needs and working through preliminary definition of their facilities. The Clifford Roberts experts create a process by which the true facility needs are defined, refined, and objectively evaluated in terms of cost, time frames, church needs and capabilities before the significant expense of complete architectural plans are contracted.
